Victor Vimos (Riobamba, Ecuador, 1985) is an anthropologist and poet. He currently lives in the United States, where he is a PhD candidate at The Ohio State University. His research areas include the relationship between rituality and poetic languages, interspecies relationships, and processes of violence and rituality in the Andes. He has published Retórica del Amaranto, Acta de Fundación, and Ácrata Alucinatoria: Variaciones Peruanas. He was awarded the II Premio Latinoamericano de Poesía Pedro Lastra (2021) and the Premio Nacional de Poesía Jorge Carrera Andrade (2002).
