María José Navia (Chile, 1982) is a Chilean writer and scholar. She has an MA in Humanities and Social Thought from NYU and a PhD in Literature and Cultural Studies from Georgetown University. She currently works as a professor at the Facultad de Letras of the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile. She has published two novels (SANT and Kintsugi), four short story collections (Instrucciones para ser feliz, Lugar, Una música futura, and Todo lo que aprendimos de las películas), and a novel for children (El mapa secreto de las cosas).
