![]() | Rogério Mendes Coelho is a professor and researcher who teaches Hispanic Literatures and Cultures at the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte (UFRN/FELCS). He collaborates as a permanent professor in the Postgraduate Program in Literature of the Federal University of Pernambuco (UFPE) and coordinates the research group Other Hispanic Literatures (UFRN/FELCS/CNPq). He is the author of Pedagogía del Cimarronaje: Literatura y Cultura Afrodescendiente en América Latina (Centro de Estudios Literarios Antonio Cornejo Polar, 2025). He is currently focused on the study of Hispanic-African literature and culture and a Portuguese translation of Ursula de Jesus’s diaries. Email: [email protected] |
![]() | Wellington de Melo is a writer, editor, and translator. He holds a PhD in Literary Studies from the Federal University of Pernambuco, where he teaches Spanish at the laboratory school. He has worked as an editor and taught creative writing for over fifteen years. He has translated the Spanish poet Miguel Hernández into Portuguese and the Brazilian poet Terêza Tenório into Spanish. His publications include Estrangeiro no labirinto (novel, semifinalist for the Portugal Telecom Prize), O caçador de mariposas (poetry, translated into French and Spanish), and his most recent novel Emilio. He is Miró da Muribeca’s curator and literary executor, and his biography of Miró is forthcoming from Cepe Editora. |
