Daniela Suárez (Michoacán, Mexico) holds a doctorate in Latin American literature from the University of California and teaches at California State University, Long Beach. She studies the representation of the United States in Mexican and Latin American literatures and writes crónicas and essays on migration and inter-American relations. Her work has appeared in media such as Pie de Página, La Jornada, and Este País, among others. She is also a member of the advisory board for ÓRALE, an NGO fighting for migrant justice.
