Sandra Guzmán is a pioneering Afro Indigenous storyteller, culture writer, literary editor, and documentary filmmaker whose work reclaims and re-centers narratives of people and communities outside the margins. She is the editor of the international anthology of Latin American women writers, Daughters of Latin America: An International Anthology of Writing by Latine Women. The multi-genre anthology features 140 powerful voices in one volume—from well-known beloved writers to rising stars. Sandra is Taina and Black and was born in Boriken, a nation known by its colonized name, Puerto Rico.
