Paula Miranda

Paula Miranda Herrera was born in Santiago de Chile in 1968. She is a professor of literature, an associated academic of the Facultad de Letras of the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile and associated researcher of the Centro de Estudios Interculturales e Indígenas CIIR. She has researched and taught Chilean and Latin American poetry for more than twenty years and has organized the poetry conferences “Chile Mira a sus poetas” (2011), “Los ríos del canto” (2013) y “El poema más allá del poema. Enseñar, estudiar y hacer poesía en el siglo XXI” (2015). She is the author of the books La poesía de Violeta Parra (2013) and Violeta Parra en el Wallmapu. Su encuentro con el canto mapuche (2017) and editor of the books Chile mira a sus poetas: estudios y creaciones (2011) and Violeta Parra. Poesía (anthology, 2016).
