Jotacé López is a writer and university professor. He won the 2003 El Nuevo Día Short Story Contest. His work has appeared in the anthologies Cuentos de oficio (2005), Convocados: Nueva narrativa puertorriqueña (2009), A toda costa: Narrativa puertorriqueña reciente (2018), and Fricción Cuántica: Antología de ciencia ficción desde Puerto Rico y su diáspora (2022). He has published the short story collections Bestiario de caricias (2007) and Arboretum (2016). His writing has been published in Hostos Review, Letralia, Revista Cruce, Latin American Literature Today, Visión Doble, El Nuevo Día, and 80grados. He also contributed and served as guest editor to the Autumn 2020 issue of World Literature Today, a “city issue” on San Juan, Puerto Rico.
