Issa Aguilar Jara

Issa Aguilar Jara is a journalist and writer born in Cuenca, Ecuador in 1988. She is the author of the poetry books Con M de Mote se escribe Mojigata (La Caída, 2018) and Poliamor Town (winner of the call for publications of the Casa de la Cultura Ecuatoriana, Núcleo del Azuay, 2020). She won the César Dávila Andrade National Poetry Prize for her work Dos tragos de sinestesia (2022). Her journalistic work appears in several Ecuadorian projects and media outlets. Her literary work has been included in anthologies in Ecuador and internationally, and has been shared at several meetings and festivals.
