Geraldine Gutiérrez-Wienken

Geraldine Gutiérrez-Wienken (1966, Venezuela) is a poet, translator, and publisher residing in Heidelberg, Germany. Her poetry collections include Espantando elefantes (La Liebre Libre, 1994), Con alma de cine (España 2007), Castañas de confianza (Eclepsidra, 2012), and El silencio es una bailarina (El Taller Blanco, 2020; Alción Editora, 2021). Her translations include the Spanish-to-German co-translation with Marcus Roloff of Rafael Cadenas’s Klagelieder im Gepäck (parasitenpresse, Köln, 2018) and the German-to-Spanish translations of Hilde Domin’s Canciones para dar aliento (Llantén, Buenos Aires, 2018) and Inge Müller’s ¡Que no me asfixie de hacer tanto silencio! (Llantén, 2021).
