Adalber Salas Hernández

Adalber Salas Hernández is the author of the poetry books Salvoconducto (Pre-Textos, 2015), La ciencia de las despedidas (Pre-Textos, 2018; translated by Robin Myers as The Science of Departures, Kenning Editions, 2021), Nuevas cartas náuticas (Pre-Textos, 2022), Crania (Letra Muerta, 2023; translated by Robin Myers), and Las fuerzas débiles (Vaso Roto, 2024, cowritten by Elisa Díaz Castelo), as well as the essay collections Clarice Lispector: el lugar de la poesía (Ril Editores, 2019), Palabras sin dueño: Variaciones sobre la traducción literaria (UNAM, 2019), Isolario (Pre-Textos, 2023; translated by Robin Myers as Islarium, Peepal Tree Press, 2024), and Retrato del traductor con cabeza de perro (Libros de la resistencia, 2023). His poetry has appeared in several anthologies and he has translated the work of many renowned poets and writers, completing translation residencies at the Banff Centre for Arts and Creativity (Canada) and Alice Yard (Trinidad and Tobago). He holds a doctorate from New York University.
