Vic Basalto Mastandrea

Vic Basalto Mastandrea is an audiovisual and literary translator who graduated from the Instituto de Enseñanza Superior en Lenguas Vivas “Juan Ramón Fernández” (2024, Buenos Aires, Argentina). For his graduation project, he translated two short stories from the collection Welcome to the Monkey House by Kurt Vonnegut. He has translated poems by Andrea Gibson, Eileen Myles, Ocean Vuong, and Richard Siken for other independent projects. He also enjoys cooking, playing with his cat Pochocla, and writing poetry. He’s currently looking to start navigating the world of professional literary translation.
