Fátima Villalta (Nicaragua, 1994) won the prize for the publication of literary works from the Nicaraguan Writers’ Center in 2011 for her novel Danzaré sobre su tumba. She is the director and editor of HoraCero. A master’s student in Social Sciences at the University of Guadalajara, she researches the literature of armed conflicts in Nicaragua and El Salvador. In 2022, she was a fellow of the University of Iowa’s International Writing Program. In 2023, she earned a special mention in the eleventh Carátula Central American Short Story Prize.
