Ch’aska Anka Ninawaman
Ch’aska Anka Ninawaman (whose given name is Eugenia Carlos Ríos) is from Ch’isikata, Espinar Province, in Cusco, Peru. She is a member of the K’ana Nation. Ch’aska is a Quechua-language poet, storyteller, translator, and anthropologist. She teaches Quechua in Paris, where she lives at present. “Chuqik’irawchaw” appears in her second book, Chask’aschay: Poesía en quechua (2004).
