Joaquín Gavilano

Joaquín Gavilano is a Bolivian translator, poet, and writer. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature and is currently an MFA candidate in Creative Writing and Translation, both at the University of Arkansas. Joaquín currently serves as translation editor for The Arkansas International. He is also the recipient of the Carolyn F. Walton Cole First-Year Fellowship in translation from the University of Arkansas, and a recipient of a 2023 PEN/Heim Translation Fund Grant.
