Tess O’Dwyer

Tess O’Dwyer is an award-winning translator, editor, and arts consultant. She holds a Masters in English from Rutgers University. Her books in translation include Martin Rivas by Alberto Blest Gana (Oxford), Empire of Dreams by Giannina Braschi (Yale), and Yo-Yo Boing!, also by Braschi (AmazonCrossing). She co-edited the cultural journal Review: Literature and Arts of the Americas (Taylor & Francis) and the anthology of essays Poets Philosophers Lovers: On the Writings of Giannina Braschi (Pittsburgh). Her Board roles have included Harvard University’s Cultural Agents Initiative, Evergreen Review, Garden State Film Festival, PEN America, and Academy of American Poets, where she currently serves as Chairman of the Board.
