Silvana Vogt

Silvana Vogt (Morteros, 1969) lived in various cities in Argentina before settling in Buenos Aires, where she studied philosophy, psychology, and radio production. In 2002, she emigrated to Barcelona. She is the author of La mecànica de l’aigua (Edicions de 1984), written in Catalan. In 2018, she received a Montserrat Roig Writing Grant (Barcelona/Unesco) and resumed writing in her mother tongue. She owns a bookstore, Cal Llibreter, in Sant Just Desvern. El fino arte de crear monstruos is her second novel. It was recently long-listed for the prestigious Premis Finestres de Narrativa.
