Sergio Rodríguez Saavedra

Sergio Rodríguez Saavedra (Santiago, 1963) is a poet, editor, and literary critic. His major works include Ciudad poniente (Santiago, 2000-2002), Centenario (Santiago, 2011), Patria negra / patria roja (Santiago, 2016), the anthology Nombres propios (Madrid, 2017), and Días como peces (Buenos Aires, 2020). Among the accolades he has received are the Eduardo Anguita National Prize (2008 and 2010), the Letras de Chile Prize (2014), and the Stella Corvalán National Literary Competition Prize (2019). Critics describe his writing as an exploration of the possibilities of memory within the context of Latin American identity.
