Nilton Santiago

Nilton Santiago was born in Lima, Peru in 1979, but has lived in Barcelona for many years. His latest books are El equipaje del ángel (XXVII Tiflos Prize, Visor 2014); Las musas se han ido de copas (XV Casa de América Prize, Visor 2015); Historia universal del etcétera (Vicente Huidobro Prize, Valparaíso 2019; translated into Italian by Alberto Pellegatta, Taut 2024); Miel para la boca del asno (XXI Emilio Alarcos Poetry Prize of Asturias, Visor 2023); and Vocación de náufrago (Ciutat de València—Juan Gil-Albert Prize, Visor 2025).
