Dominique Lear is a writer and editor. Born and raised in Mexico City, she is the founder and editor of Xeno, a publication that turns away from stories emanating from traditional centers of power. She has spoken about her research on Carmen Balcells and the Latin American literary boom at the Center for Spatial and Textual Analysis at Stanford University, at the Institute for World Literature in Harvard University, at NYU Abu Dhabi, and at the Carmen Balcells Documentary Center as part of the Guadalajara International Book Fair. She lives in New York City.
