Uruguayan by adoption, Carlos María Domínguez was born in Buenos Aires in 1955. Among his novels are La costa ciega and La mujer hablada, with which he won the Bartolomé Hidalgo Award, Tres muescas en mi carabina (Juan Carlos Onetti Award), and his great international success La casa de papel, published in more than twenty-five languages and winner of several awards in various countries.
