Ariana Harwicz (b. Buenos Aires, 1977) lives in rural France. Her debut novel, Matate, amor (2012), was published in English as Die, My Love (2017) and shortlisted for the Man Booker International Prize. Its film adaptation, directed by Lynne Ramsay, produced by Martin Scorsese, and starring Jennifer Lawrence, was an Official Selection of the 2025 Cannes Film Festival. Her novels include Degenerado (2019) and Perder el juicio (2024), the latter currently being adapted for film and stage. Her books have been translated into more than twenty languages. Her sixth novel, Una linda depresión, is forthcoming in 2027.
