Alfonsina Storni

Alfonsina Storni (1892-1938) was an Argentine poet, playwright, teacher and journalist, widely considered one of the greatest poets of Latin America. She was a key figure of modernism, as well as a pioneer of feminism in Argentine literature. Her poetry has inspired numerous writers and artists of all kinds. Some of her most important works are La inquietud del rosal (1916), El dulce año (1918), Irremediablemente (1919), Ocre (1925), El mundo de siete pozos (1934), and Mascarilla y trébol (1938).
