Livia Lakomy

Livia Lakomy is a journalist and translator from Curitiba, Brazil. In 2016, she graduated from Columbia University with a MFA degree in Creative Writing with a focus on Nonfiction and a secondary concentration in Literary Translation. After returning to Brazil, she put her translation work on hold to continue her studies at the doctoral level at the Department of Modern Languages of the University of São Paulo. In 2022, she completed her PhD with a thesis focusing on Nonfiction Literature and Literary Translation. Since 2017, Livia has been a professor in the Creative Writing graduate program at Instituto Vera Cruz in São Paulo.
