Argelia Calzadilla Pérez & Ilú Suárez

Argelia Calzadilla Pérez is a geographer and English teacher born in Venezuela in 1970. She’s been in the field of education since 2000, having taught at the Universidad Central de Venezuela and a number of public schools across London and New York. She has collaborated with Monte Ávila Editores Latinoamericana, reviewing translations from English to Spanish. Alongside this, she has also published articles and books in the field of Geography, as well as short stories in a collective issue in Spain.
Ilú Suárez is a student of International Studies at the Carlos III University of Madrid who was born in Caracas, Venezuela in 2005. She lived and studied for fourteen years between the UK and the US. Notably, she has worked on some translations and literary revisions of books and short stories from Spanish to English. She has also worked for one of her university’s newspapers, operating as an editor of several published pieces. Currently, she works as an English tutor for young students.
