Teresa Icaza

Teresa Icaza is a poet, novelist, short fiction writer, and the daughter of prominent Mexican painter and muralist Francisco Icaza. She studied Hispanic Literature at the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM) and creative writing at the Escuela Mexicana de Escritores. She teaches workshops on creative writing and narrative. Her recent publications include the novel Una fisura en el tiempo (Bonilla Artigas Editores, 2020) and the collection De regreso (Bonilla Artigas Editores, 2021). Central themes in her work are memory and the physical senses and how both construct her mostly female characters’ sense of self. She lives in Mexico City.
