María Antonieta Flores

María Antonieta Flores (Caracas, Venezuela, 1960) is a poet and essayist. She holds a master’s degree in Latin American literature. Her most recent poetry books are temples (2014), deletérea (2015), las conductas discretas (2020), and los gozos del sueño (2021). She was a finalist for the Pilar Fernández Labrador International Poetry Prize in 2020 and 2022. Her poetry has been translated into six languages and is included in over twenty anthologies in Venezuela and elsewhere, including Rasgos comunes: Antología de la poesía venezolana del siglo XX (Pre-Textos, 2019). She has participated as a guest poet at festivals and international gatherings in Colombia, Brazil, Argentina, Mexico, Romania, Austria, Costa Rica, Nicaragua, Panama, and Peru, and at several virtual gatherings.
