Leila Sucari

Leila Sucari (b. 1987, Buenos Aires) is a freelance writer for La Agenda and other print and online media in Argentina. In 2016, her novel Adentro tampoco hay luz won first prize from the prestigious Fondo Nacional de los Artes; it was published by Tusquets Editores in 2017, and an excerpt from the translation by Maureen Shaughnessy recently won an honorable mention from the Gulf Coast Prize in Translation. Sucari’s second novel, Fugaz, was published by Tusquets Editores in 2019. Her poetry collection Baldio came out in 2020 from Pánico el Pánico. Te hablaría del viento, a collection of her recent flash essays, was published in 2021 by Editorial Excursiones. Her much anticipated third novel is forthcoming from Tusquets Editores in 2023.
