Julio Ariza

Julio Ariza is an Associate Professor of Spanish at the University of the Virgin Islands (USA). He is a scholar of Latin American literature and film, specializing in the twentieth and twenty-first centuries. Ariza obtained his Ph.D. and M.A. degrees from Washington University in St. Louis. He has held academic positions at Brandeis University, Northwestern University, and Dartmouth College. In 2018, Ariza published his first book, titled El abandono: Abismo amoroso y crisis social en la reciente literatura Argentina, which was featured in the renowned Critical Essays collection from Beatriz Viterbo Editora.
