Claudia Peña Claros

Claudia Peña Claros (Bolivia) is a poet, fiction writer, and essayist. She has published the short story collections El evangelio según Paulina (2003) and Que mamá no nos vea (2005); the poetry collections Inútil ardor (2006) and Con el cielo a mis espaldas (2007); and the novel La furia del río (2010). In 2016, she won Bolivia’s Franz Tamayo National Short Fiction Contest. One of her stories, “Verde,” was made into a film by director Rodrigo Bellot. Her work has been included in several anthologies, including the Antología del Cuento Boliviano, published by the Bicentenary Library of Bolivia.
