Krishna Naranjo Zavala is a professor in the Department of Letters and Communication at the University of Colima. She has published fiction, poetry, interviews, essays, and academic articles. In March 2021, she received the Griselda Álvarez Ponce de León Prize, awarded by the state legislature of Colima, for her literary achievements. In November 2021, she was named winner of the Fiftieth Edmundo Valadés Latin American Short Story Contest. She has published the poetry books Tierra de cada día, Batalla de la aurora, and Principio de los árboles, and the children’s book Beto, su secreto. She currently directs Interpretextos, a biannual journal of creative arts and humanities.
