Las expresiones \u201cmuy grandioso\u201d, \u201csuperabundante\u201d y \u201cmajestuoso\u201d fueron tomadas del cat\u00e1logo enciclop\u00e9dico de la World\u2019s Columbian Exposition, por ser los adjetivos m\u00e1s usados para referirse a la propia Feria. El texto \u201ces una sensaci\u00f3n indescriptible la de girar \/ a trav\u00e9s de una \u00f3rbita tan vasta en una jaula de p\u00e1jaros\u201d es de Robert Graves, citado en un art\u00edculo de Pagan Kennedy publicado en <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">New York Times<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (\u201cWho Made That Ferris Wheel?\u201d)<\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. <\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">El texto \u201ces un ejemplo sorprendente de imprudencia e hipocres\u00eda \/ pero la gente proyecta sus m\u00e1s nobles aspiraciones\u201d es de Le\u00f3n Tolstoi. El texto \u201cest\u00e1ndar con el \/ que se comparar\u00eda cada (\u2026) posterior\u201d es de Robert W. Rydell.\u00a0<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">El t\u00e9rmino \u201cminero de momias\u201d viene del libro <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Empires of the Dead: Inca Mummies and the Peruvian Ancestors of American Anthropology<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> de Christopher Heaney, en el que menciona que en la d\u00e9cada de 1890 los escritores estadounidenses tradujeron el t\u00e9rmino \u201chuaqueando\u201d como \u201cminer\u00eda de momias\u201d.
